Introduction
Speak not, lie hidden, and conceal
the way you dream, the things you feel.
Deep in your spirit let them rise
akin to stars in crystal skies
that set before the night is blurred:
delight in them and speak no word.
How can a heart expression find?
How should another know your mind?
Will he discern what quickens you?
A thought once uttered is untrue.
Dimmed is the fountainhead when stirred:
drink at the source and speak no word.
Live in your inner self alone
within your soul a world has grown,
the magic of veiled thoughts that might
be blinded by the outer light,
drowned in the noise of day, unheard...
take in their song and speak no word.

It has been an awesome day today! It was MOTHER'S DAY and we first went to Derbyshire to sign some documents and then went to United Square and had a look around.. It's scary how a place can change while the memories you have of it can't. At least, not that much. I still remember the ol' Mcdonalds in the United Square, with the photos of birds and how I used to eat there and play in the playground next to my kindergarten after that! fFor lunch, we had lunch in Swensen's. It was really great as I had crayfish pasta, coupled with some sinful, delicious dessert with copious amounts of chocolate (that was only for me as both my mum and dad preferred to have mango desserts)!
After that, we went to Homeway Designs to look for stuff for our new house and it dawned upon us to NEVER believe in radio ads which make the place sound like some interior designing haven while in actuality, it is as large as two rooms with close to no displays. Classic Ideas was slightly better, with nicer displays and better service. I am definitely going to sneak to Ikea and get ome ideas for the house (especially my room as my parents are not too keen to spend ANY money).
Now, for the climax of the day. We went to watch 'Naan Avanillai' (NA). It was just okayyyy, and I'll tell you why. NA is the type of film you wouldn't even want to watch alone, let alone with your parents on Mother's day. I seriously didn't see the point of Sneha aka Suhasini Rajendran's character and felt that her admiring Annamalai/Zahir Hussain for his 'genius intellect' was unbelievably stupid. The climax reminded me of Manmathan, in fact the whole movie had a very similar concept, just that it was mellowed down. I literally felt like closing both my eyes (eww.. scenes with women baring their flabby midriffs just grosses me out more than anything!) and ears (to say that Vijay Anthony was much better in sukran and dishyum would be a gross understatement). I am curious to see the original and compare it with the new version and compare. The only part of the movie that I liked was lakshmi's dialogue at the end as the judge rounding up the case. To think of it now, the movie did its best to entertain its audience, and entertain it did. Make sense? It didn't. A clean family entertainment? NOPE! Do I need brains to watch this film? HAHA, this is a TAMIL movie, whaddya think?
I saw Piriya who went to watch the same show as us with her parents.. She told me that dancers had to join and save dance in RJ.. I wonder what that means.. She also said that she didn't come for ORA because of dance practice. Speaking about ORA, I surely want to blog about it but I am too tired, intellectually (too much chocolate icecream addles your brains) and physically.
