Introduction
Speak not, lie hidden, and conceal
the way you dream, the things you feel.
Deep in your spirit let them rise
akin to stars in crystal skies
that set before the night is blurred:
delight in them and speak no word.
How can a heart expression find?
How should another know your mind?
Will he discern what quickens you?
A thought once uttered is untrue.
Dimmed is the fountainhead when stirred:
drink at the source and speak no word.
Live in your inner self alone
within your soul a world has grown,
the magic of veiled thoughts that might
be blinded by the outer light,
drowned in the noise of day, unheard...
take in their song and speak no word.

Minmini was really quite fun and let me just say that I will never forget the adorable
Singakutties from
SJI Junior!
Haha, ushering yesterday brought me back to the
ol'
RGS days where we steered lost parents for events, dying in our court shoes. At least we didn't have to wear those killers but that said, the organisation seemed, well, BAD.
In
RGS, PB would have done 10-20 proposals for the event, have an extensive manpower deployment and will have a dry weather and wet weather tech run. And of course, we will have a post-mortem of the event and have appraisals of the people in charge. Of course, then I thought that it was too much but after seeing today and how practically no one knew what was going on, I conclude that I would definitely be over prepared than be under prepared.
Doing the
kolam was also quite fun since it didn't look a bad as I expected for such a last minute design and we accomplished all that with just 3 colours: Red, Yellow and Green. And oh yeah, with
Mathan's genius, we got a pale orange by mixing red and yellow! However, it was
divya and I who ended up fully mixing it. SO, yes, kudos to us.
Overall, I think it wasn't too bad for an
ICS thing despite all the hiccups and
sikkals. No matter what the quality of the performances were, it was highly entertaining.
Indera and I couldn't contain our laughter when the
litle Singakutties attempted dancing to
Vaada Vaada Thozhaa, the gross
Sivakasi song.
My dear sister is finally finishing her exams and I am
soooo happy because she can finally have a
fairER share of house chores rather than saying, "
Madhu, who is the one having her
MBBS final exams?"
And, lastly, congratulations (it's extremely overdue) my dear cousin
Deepu anna for finding the woman of his dreams and for getting married really soon! All the best to him and his future wife! :) Sad I can't attend his wedding though.. :(
