Introduction
Speak not, lie hidden, and conceal
the way you dream, the things you feel.
Deep in your spirit let them rise
akin to stars in crystal skies
that set before the night is blurred:
delight in them and speak no word.
How can a heart expression find?
How should another know your mind?
Will he discern what quickens you?
A thought once uttered is untrue.
Dimmed is the fountainhead when stirred:
drink at the source and speak no word.
Live in your inner self alone
within your soul a world has grown,
the magic of veiled thoughts that might
be blinded by the outer light,
drowned in the noise of day, unheard...
take in their song and speak no word.

Wow, shopping with Pei Xian and sara on Friday proved to be one of the most interesting and different shopping experiences because for a change, I actually bought something. More than that, we aimlessly walked around orchard road with very simple goals in mind and ended up trudging all around the place. I shall recall my route later but it was amazing to find how lost we felt in orchard as ex-RG girls. I mean, that place USED to be OUR territory and should I say how disgusting it felt for us to see that our dear new yellow-name-taggers can't wear their badges or uniforms properly! Why, some didn't even remember to remove their nametags after getting out of school. DISGRACE.
Anyway, it was great seeing so many people from different aspects of life"
SIGHTING #1: Amanda Oh, WEP
Sigh, it's been a LONG time since I last saw you, girl. That, exactly two months ago, 7th December 2007 when I bade farewell to all our beloved SMBians! Hmm, I miss them all so much and will never, ever forget the awesome experiences that we had while we were there!
SIGHTING #2: Shalini Balakrishnan, Chang Yanli, Joy, SMPS
SIGH, the lat time I saw these people was 4 years ago, when we were still donning our "smart", polka-dotted uniforms. Funny that Shalini is in CJC now while Yanli is now in SAJC but thy were still meeting up! All three were from 5A and 6A but Shalini was in the same class as me in p1 and p2 as well! In fact, I think she is the first friend I ever made in 1/06 and will never forget sneaking to her house in Mcpherson whenever we went to Malliga aunty's house! Haha, talk about the good ol' days..
SIGHTING #3: Mrs Chin
For those who can't reminisce, this woman taught my half of the 103ers (Divya should recall) needlework. I miss all her ramblings (she used to say grandmother stories about her travel experiences and tell us about her primary & secondary school malarum ninaivugal and it was actually quite fun despite her nagging at us a lot of times. Apparently, she has retired and is planning to go to Russia with her husband soon. That's really so cool and it was very evident that she misses RGS so much!
Yep, these were my encounters. As for our travel route:
Orchard Mrt to Lido to Far east to Wisma to Far east again to Taka to Heeran to Cine to Taka and finally back to Far East! Amazing that my legs didn't wear out even when I got home! Haha, it was extremely fun and we learnt (esp on sara's part) as to how fickle we are (all three of us) when it comes to shopping (being the pichakaaris that we are!)..
I am now at my chithi's house with the two vaandus who are growing up at an exponential rate, you can't imagine how scary it is! Both talk freely about things that I wouldn't even have imagined to think about when I was at their age. Well, at least one is still doing 'Young Scientist" project, it s reassuring to know that school life hasn't changed that much from my time..
Can't wait to meet up with my fellow dance batchmates from last year on wednesday (watching step up2!!!!) and going to the zoo with my dear classmates on thursday! What an eventful March hols, never remembered it to be so fun!
