I am such an elichavaayi. I got tricked/fooled thrice in the same day and I am supremely annoyed. In Jayapriya Ardhanari's words, "Haha, you are just too easy. :)" WHY WHY whY!
"I am fooled" Moment #1Ok, this one was not too bad. I went to school for dance and Piriya was there and she went, "Hey Madhu, do you know what just happened, IND just got a new teacher-in-charge. Guess who?
Me: Who? -gasps- Meera?
Piriya: NO, even worse! Farzana is gonna die of laughter, the sadist.
Me: Oh no, Vicknesh?? AHHHH no!!!!
After 5 mins..
Shanti: Hey today is April fool's day right? Did you guys get fooled? I didn't you know!
Os and I: We got fooled yesterday. -Os goes on to describe how she got fooled and Piriya does not say anything.
10 minutes later, Farzana arrives and Piriya repeats the same thing to her and she laughs so hard that we all think she is being sadistic then she clarifies.
Farzana: You are fooling us right?
Then it hits all of us. Can't believe all six of us were such fools, especially Shanti! Piriya laughed at us so much after that that I felt so darn dumb. Hmph. -.-
"I am fooled" Moment #2Stupid Vaish stole my phone, the idiot, and sent stoooopid SMSes to both Mathan and Geeva and I got so annoyed with the idiot. The idiot also erased my outbox so I had no idea what she actually sent until geeva forwarded it back to me. SIGH, and right when I think this is enough for one day...
"I am fooled" Moment #3My sister has gone out with the kids and she sends an SMS saying, "HEY, go check out CNA, Mas Selamat just got caught!"
I was super happy and excited okay? REWIND to a month ago when they announce that Selamat escaped on my birthday (well, technically on the day before, but the news was out on the 28th and that's bad enough) and I hoped and wished and prayed that the criminal would be caught soon and when I actually got the SMS, I was like, "YES, FINALLY!" and I went to check out CNA. They were talking about some South Korean president thing so I thought,
Hmm, maybe they finished covering that story". So I went to the CNA website. No news. Zilch. Then I google, "MAS SELAMAT caught" and get no returns either. And THEN it finally hits me. Am I dumb or am I dumb.
In retrospect, my sincere thanks to Piriya, Vaish (you are still NOT forgiven) and Priya for my most unforgettable and eventful April Fools' Day! I've practically never been fooled and today, I have resolved to fool someone properly. Let me hope fervently that my aasai palikkuraans.
