Introduction
Speak not, lie hidden, and conceal
the way you dream, the things you feel.
Deep in your spirit let them rise
akin to stars in crystal skies
that set before the night is blurred:
delight in them and speak no word.
How can a heart expression find?
How should another know your mind?
Will he discern what quickens you?
A thought once uttered is untrue.
Dimmed is the fountainhead when stirred:
drink at the source and speak no word.
Live in your inner self alone
within your soul a world has grown,
the magic of veiled thoughts that might
be blinded by the outer light,
drowned in the noise of day, unheard...
take in their song and speak no word.

I AM SO HAPPY!
I think it was such a miracle that all of us had everything for the performance whether it wa blouses, thavanis, skirts or ANYTHING! For you to appreciate the miraculous-ness of the situation, let me recount the story to you!
Tuesday night, the costumes from RGS are WAY less than ideal (more NH3 than CH4 ><) and we are panicking (ok, exaggeration, we were actually calmly brainstorming) about what to wear. Whatever drab of a garb we were going to wear, we needed 8 sets of each piece! We decide to wear our Nachle skirts with velvet blouses of any dark colour and any thupatta. Most dancers had no idea of the colours of the skirts, so the next day, which is today, we all brought random dhupattas and somehow, every single dancer had a matching dhupatta! :DDD And our blouses were supposed to be from oue seniors since most didnt have their own! At first we should have gotten 6 but not all seniors had them so we had 4 and it just happened that exactly 4 of us had our own blouses (albeit that mine was my mom's and DAMN big)! AWESOME!!! :)
And unlike on dance night, where our song was the only one to screw up on both days, Chinese Dance and Malay Dance had problems with the CD and ours went fine! And most importantly of all, we managed to miraculously do makeup, hair AND costumes within an hour! That is record timing for IND! :D And, at the end of the day, our dance was considered good for a choreographed-and-praced in two weeks thing + our costumes looked prety good!
I SINCERELY THANK GOD for all the blessings He/ She/They has(ve) showered upon us today! Maybe it's cos our dance title was "Shen QI" (it means magic!)!! Haha!
