Introduction
Speak not, lie hidden, and conceal
the way you dream, the things you feel.
Deep in your spirit let them rise
akin to stars in crystal skies
that set before the night is blurred:
delight in them and speak no word.
How can a heart expression find?
How should another know your mind?
Will he discern what quickens you?
A thought once uttered is untrue.
Dimmed is the fountainhead when stirred:
drink at the source and speak no word.
Live in your inner self alone
within your soul a world has grown,
the magic of veiled thoughts that might
be blinded by the outer light,
drowned in the noise of day, unheard...
take in their song and speak no word.

WOAH! Watching the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony was an AMAZING experience for me! I mean with ten months of practice, the sheer amount of effort, hardwork, planning and money gone into all will probably never cease to marvel me. All their items involving thousands of people were sooo well-coordinated. And I was musing about how we take 4 months to perfect 21 people on stage for syf and they take 10 to perfect 3000.
I didn't know that the compass was invented in China. Boy, China does know how to capitalise on their culture and manpower to impress the audiences. I mean, every item in the ceremony displayed some aspect of the Chinese culture. And as much as they used technology for the stuff, they utilised manpower to the max, showcasing their greatest strength. I couldn't help but wonder how it would have been if all the money pooled in for the Olympics had gone to the poor instead. I mean people would still watch it if you didn't spend so much. And how long does it take to forget all the great things. I am sure the next country to get the Olympic bid would try to outdo China. That is just so sad.
AHH, my whole family is sick. Apparently, I am too without knowing it myself. My sister says I spent the whole night coughing and I had no knowledge of it whatsoever. Even my mum noticed! Now, my mum and sister are sick and I am to be blamed for it. Yet, I am the only one who still has her voice intact. That says something! :D Apparently I teased my sister in my sleep that she was going to catch my flu, so my subconscious knows that I am sick. Or, my sis just crafted an elaborate hoax that my mum is in on.
