Introduction
Speak not, lie hidden, and conceal
the way you dream, the things you feel.
Deep in your spirit let them rise
akin to stars in crystal skies
that set before the night is blurred:
delight in them and speak no word.
How can a heart expression find?
How should another know your mind?
Will he discern what quickens you?
A thought once uttered is untrue.
Dimmed is the fountainhead when stirred:
drink at the source and speak no word.
Live in your inner self alone
within your soul a world has grown,
the magic of veiled thoughts that might
be blinded by the outer light,
drowned in the noise of day, unheard...
take in their song and speak no word.

Is it coincidence or fate? The ties between Ancient Egypt and many other religions and cultures like the Abrahamic religions (Chrisitianity, Judaism and Islam), the Rig Veda (watched Anniyan?), the Baha'i faith (which I respect very much) and other regional influences are sinply astounding. I keep wowing at other interconnected the world cultures and faiths are. The similarities between polytheism in Ancient Egypt and in Hinduism is one major evidence for this!
I know how amazed I sound and how boring and repetitve my amazement can be but just how awesome is the fact that Psalm 104 was inspired by the writings of Akhenaten to Aten (Sun disc God)? So some parts of the bible were indeed inspired by writings a century prior to it. The more and more I read, the more I feel admiration and support for the social principles of the Baha'i faith, mainly the Unity of God, humankind and religion.
Examples of the Baha'i writings include:
"World order can be founded only on an unshakeable consciousness of the oneness
of mankind, a spiritual truth which all the human sciences confirm. Anthropology, physiology, psychology, recognise only one human species, albeit infinitely varied in the secondary aspects of life. Recognition of this truth requires abandonment of prejudice -- prejudice of every kind -- race, class, colour, creed, nation, sex, degree of material civilization, everything which enables people to consider themselves superior to others."

One key component chapter of my life saw its close today (technically yesterday). Yes my friends, it is PW. No more OP, I&R, WR, EOM or PI. No coaxing, cajoling, forcing, coercing myself and others to do work. No more inter-ethnic tolerance and understanding (one phrase that will most certainly haunt me for the rest of my life due to the sheer abundance of its flippant usage in our written report). No late night hours trying to crap something up. No more Ltan, who is so awesome she makes me rolls my eyes everytime I hear her name.
The Journey (no pun intended) was one of great trials and tribulations. Though there were highlights and lessons learnt that I am highly appreciative of. That said, unlike those people who claim how they strangely miss PW, I have no$ such sad feelings and say with great joy, GOOD RIDDANCE! :D:D:D:D:D
Of course, it brings me greater joy to think about the fact that our dear juniors would have to go through the same arduous journey next year.. Woohoo! Scared about the results that will be out in six months but let me worry about that later.
Oh, note to myself:
BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR. Hmm. :/ Life's pretty uneventful and sad. Why am I blogging now? Because I am bored and suffering from insomnia. What a life, haha.
Ah, this one ABBA song a day business doesn't seem to end despite me having watched the movie soo long ago. And my song for today was actually "Voulez-vous" but this one has sweeter lyrics! (: Especially, the second stanza, love the words!
So I say
Thank you for the music, the songs I'm singing
Thanks for all the joy they're bringing
Who can live without it, I ask in all honesty
What would life be?
Without a song or a dance what are we?
So I say thank you for the music
For giving it to me
Mother says I was a dancer before I could walk
She says I began to sing long before I could talk
And I've often wondered, how did it all start?
Who found out that nothing can capture a heart
Like a melody can?
Well, whoever it was, I'm a fan
