Introduction
Speak not, lie hidden, and conceal
the way you dream, the things you feel.
Deep in your spirit let them rise
akin to stars in crystal skies
that set before the night is blurred:
delight in them and speak no word.
How can a heart expression find?
How should another know your mind?
Will he discern what quickens you?
A thought once uttered is untrue.
Dimmed is the fountainhead when stirred:
drink at the source and speak no word.
Live in your inner self alone
within your soul a world has grown,
the magic of veiled thoughts that might
be blinded by the outer light,
drowned in the noise of day, unheard...
take in their song and speak no word.

It's lunchtime at office and I am so bored since I didn't go with the rest for lunch (I felt like being a loner+I really craved for a Mcspicy) so I get to use the com till 2pm! :D
I can't believe it's been two weeks since Bangkok happened. It was a pretty unique experience since clearly I had never been there before and some of the city's HEAVY traffic (we were stuck at the same place for like 3 hours zomgg) plus the level of development reminded me of India. The main contrast was that the roads were really quite clean and every single building had a country flag and king flag which was pretty striking to me to see the entire city pledging their loyalty to its nation.
There were so many new experiences created, like all those boat rides we had, sea walking (!!!! :D :D :D), snorkelling :P, and Tiffany show of course, which was onr of the highlights :D But one of the biggest takeaways was the attitude of the Thais. I think the name 'Land of smiles' is very befitting in that the people are really warm and regard you like some long lost sibling despite you looking vastly different from them. This is something you rarely see here in Singapore. We Singaporeans regard each other as strangers and worse, foreigners as inferior aliens (I am talking mainly about those who come for construction work.) Wherever we went, people generally smiled back and some even asked if we were lost and needed some help. One of these ladies gave us a pamphlet about 'Fa long gong' zomg but well I was honoured since I have never been invited into a communist organisation before :D
Maybe it is good to have a common language which EVERYONE knows. There is no such thing as Indian Thai or Chinese Thai, if you are Thai and can speak the language, you are part of the family. It was nice to see cashiers making small conversations with every customer in their language. This lady bought this huge container and the cashier was asking her what she bought it for and all, I think us Singaporeans will just be pissed that the cashier was wasting time but these things make such a great difference in how you regard life.. Overall the trip gave me a much needed overseas trip and some long-deserved fun despite the mild hiccups in some places (: Happy we made it and looking forward to my next trip!
Working is so stressful but I am getting used to this! :D
